Those we love

How can God the Father in heaven give good gifts to His children, if they are absent from His presence where surely goodness and mercy would follow them all the days of their lives? The Lord is our shepherd and if we are not following Him, we are definitely getting distracted and entangled by the things of this world.

He is not our punisher, He is the lover of our souls. The one who desires to be with us all the days of our lives. This can only happen when we choose to be with Him, just like a friend that walks the earth with us. Are we spending time with those we love and those that of love us? Then, why aren’t we spending time with the one who loves us most? Lord help us to change our ways. Selah.
